week 4 day 1

Activity 1
On my birthday I have a birthday cake and I get to choose what I want for dinner, lunch pudding, and breakfast. And I celebrate my birthday with my Mum, Dad , Rhys, and Lotte.

Activity 2
If I was given 300 million dollars I would go to the movies. I would go on a plane first class to italy. I would buy a car. I would buy a house. Well I will give some of it to the poor people because they don’t have money. I would climb a mountain.

Bonus activity
Here is a selfie of me eating a carrot, I love carrot.

  1. Hi Johanna

Well done with these activities. Once again you have done a great job.
Isn't it great when you get to choose what you all have for dinner on your birthday!
What sort of things do you choose? Do you have a favourite?
There is nothing better than cake on your birthday. Especially if it is decorated with lots of lollies!
It is my son's birthday today so we are having roast port for tea ( His choice ) and chocolate birthday cake, it has got marshmallows and chocolate fish on the top!!
I smiled when I read that the first thing you put was to go to the movies if you had $300 million dollars to spend. You could buy the whole movie theatre!
I love going to the movies too. Do you have a favourite movie?
Its great that you would also buy a house. Where would you buy the house?
Would you stay at Taramakau Settlement? Or would you go somewhere else?
You are very kind too, that you would give money to the people who needed it. There are quite a few people in need so that is great to hear that you would help them. Well done Johanna.

I love the selfie!! You look really happy to be eating that carrot!

Well done again with you post. You have made huge improvements in what you are posting on your blog.

    Keep up the great work

    Keep blogging

    Until next time

  2. Kia ora Johanna,

My name is Emiely (pronounced "Emily") and along with Allie, I am also part of the Summer Learning Journey team!

I've been scrolling through your blog and wanted to congratulate you for how much your blog posts have improved. It has been awesome to see how you now take your time to create quality blog posts. I like the way you use colour, add pictures and do some great writing too! I know that Allie is also very impressed with how you blogs have been improving. You should be really proud of yourself, Johanna. :)

Your selfie with the carrot looks great! I love carrots too. I think they are so refreshing to bite into, especially when they have been sitting in the refrigerator for a while!

I've heard there is quite a lot of flooding in the West Coast. Have you and your family been affected by it? I hope you are staying safe and dry. Our Summer Learning Journey team are thinking of all the West Coast students and keeping you in our thoughts!

The Summer Learning Journey team have really enjoyed seeing all the improvements to your blog posts and can't wait to see how awesome your blogs will be by the end of the summer. Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)

  3. Hi Emiely
Mum said we had 160mm of rain and my Gran was flying into Hokitika and the plane was late because they had to keep flying around because there was too much rain to land. But they finally landed. Mum told me that mum had to drive through so much water because mum picked up gran. The farm was fine. Do you grow carrots at your house?

    1. Kia ora Johanna,

      Thank you for your reply!

Oh dear... Yes, I could imagine the planes being delayed, but I'm glad to hear that you, your family and your farm are all safe.

We have quite a lot of rain here in Auckland now, which is where I live. How is the weather going for you down in the West Coast?

      Noho ora mai,

      Emiely :)
