Activity One: Hiking Tongariro.
Well done on giving us 5 items that you would take on your one-day hike across Tongariro. You're a very smart young lady, aren't you? All of the things you've listed are exactly what would be ideal to take on a hike, especially the Emergency Beacon!
I love hiking, but to be honest, I've not taken an Emergency Beacon with me before. I guess that I do have GPS on my smartphone so that's something.
Have you been hiking before?

Ka pai for your short profile on the legendary Jenny Shipley! I'm pro female roll models; especially one's that lead our country. I was over the moon when Jacinda Ardern became our Prime Minister, what an achievement! I believe she's going to help our beautiful country.

ReplyDeleteYes i've been hiking before. I went up Mt French to the tippy top. I went with Dad and Grandad. Dad took our emergency beacon. He takes it every walk.
If I was Prime Minister it would be stressful and very hard.

DeleteYour parents sound like lovely people, how lucky you are to have been to China, England and to have hiked Mt. French!
I had to look up where that was and Google said it was in Queensland, Australia! Was it hot? I've been hiking in Tasmania, country Victoria and South Australia. The Australian native bush is so beautiful, you just have to be cautious about the time of day you decide to hike in order to avoid the heat!

ReplyDeleteMt French is behind my house. It was really rainy and windy up on top. It was hard to get back down, there was a shade but we didn't go to it. It 6 hours to go up and down. There was no view because there was too many clouds.
